Build 9 Is Out For Everyone!
Dear readers, Build 9 is out!
This update continues with Chapter 20, adding three scenes and approximately 22,000 words — about 30% longer than what we added with Build 8. This will be the trend for the next few updates until we end Chapter 20, so prepare yourself for progressively longer sessions.
This update features a CG by ToraGoru for a moment I've long wanted to include in the game, and we have a special scene at the end that, I hope, will surprise and please our readers.
Apart from the new content, we're adding a new set of audio assets — both ambiance tracks by Samples and songs by Eymon, which have been integrated into the scenes introduced in Build 8. My goal is for the new location we have introduced with Chapter 20 to have an entirely distinct and unique sound atmosphere to it.
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts about this build.
In other news, I must remind you that very soon we will publish the first build of Minotaur Hotel's Visual Update.
The team is hard at work on the last things we need before we can publish it — it's mainly exporting a lot of assets and finishing up a few things, mainly user interface. After that we'll have to do a lot of testing, and then we'll have a release date.
But if you want to play something between now and the release of the Visual Update, may I suggest a game? I've recently tried and enjoyed UNDER | HEAVEN, which is releasing a new build today. You might really like it if sci-fi is up your alley.

is it possible to get the achievement for the clay tablets? so far I've gotten most of the other achievements (minus the ruthless master ones because I'm a major wuss and a few other achievements I'm working on) but in all of them I was half focused on trying to get artifacts/the tablets as well as other achievements but haven't been able to. is it possible and I'm just sorta messing it up and need to focus it more?
also Speedrunner is my absolute favorite route nothing can convince me scaring the shit out of Argos wasn't worth it.
Pretty sure you can get that achievement, yes, unless something glitched and we've been unaware of it. How many tablets have you found so far?
I found 9 total on my best run, 1-8 and 11, but I'm pretty sure it's not a glitch and I meant to ask if it is in game yet and I needed to focus more on trying to get the achievement or not, thank you for responding!
editing I found out they apparently all collect across saves when you check the stuff in the main menu because now I have like 90% of them and I know full well I did not get that many in one run lmao
Potential bug?
First of all, thank you so much for sharing this new update, I'm super excited about it!
So I started a new game, and I noticed the Hinterlands seem to have changed the story options. Spoiler incoming!
In particular, I am no longer able to retrieve the corrupted feather/get the Chthonic Brand (instead there's a much more mysterious scene talking about the face of God).
I also can't Purify the corrupted olive tree. (I haven't been able to find the cemetery at all, actually).
Is this a bug on my end? Or is it an intentional change in the story?

Is this your first time playing through the Hinterlands on this machine? Does it previous save files where you played through it before?

This is my first time playing on this machine. (I got a new phone). It's an Android pixel 9A.
I have Shining a Light, but I do not yet have The Tale of Argos and Io on this phone. That explains it!

Just thought to follow up. I did a new save after completing the original, so I had The Tale of Argos and Shining a Light this time. And indeed, it let me get the extended Hinterlands! I successfully purified the olive tree. :)
