Hi fellas, it’s nanoff, the artist/programmer/occasional writer for this project. It’s been a while since I participated in this itch page, let alone write a devlog.
You guys all read the title so there’s not much of a point in prolonging this. I’ll have to discontinue my participation in making Minotaur Hotel.
I’ve gone through a lot of changes in my personal life the last couple of years, and shifting priorities have left me with little time to reliably continue to contribute to this project. I’d rather that task went to someone that can get the game finished.
Minotaur Hotel is in good hands, I trust the rest of the team will deliver a good conclusion to the story that will satisfy you all. I’m very sorry I’m not able to be a part of it.
I hope you continue to enjoy future updates, further projects by other team members, and also my ongoing comic work and other projects I’ll move on to work on after this.
Sorry for the long absence, and lots of love to you all.

Also, for a moment I was scared that Minotaur Hotel was cancelled. Good thing that's not the case.
But now the characters will look different and I want them to be the same 😭
wild comment. the main attraction for minotaur hotel has always been the characters, writing, and story/stories. its sad to see someone like you who thinks that an artist change will suddenly ruin the story, as though we didnt already go through character art overhauls already years ago. if you wanted to air these worries, you couldve done it much more respectfully, and somewhere else other than on a team member farewell post. be more kind.
I'm worried about what they will do regarding art going forward. How much is left to be done?
There's a lot of art left to be done to finish the game. We're in the process of figuring it out.

First, thanks for all the time and effort you put in the game. Your art was part of the charm that got me into trying out this story and I'll always have fond memories of it. I wish you all the best in your future projects. I'm sure this decision wasn't taking lightly, but it's good to know when to part ways with such a huge undertaking.
